lots of pics of my flowers after a night of rain....

I came across an art group recently that provides ideas and techniques to keep one motivated and trying new things in art. It is called Art from the Heart. It has tons of ideas and resources and videos...
The August challenge is Scanner Art... making art on your flatbed scanner. I was very intrigued by this concept. I made a few scans this morning which I have posted below. I think I will be doing more of these...

I call this one "Reluctance".... Wicketts was a reluctant participant.

I love how the blossoms look before they open, all curly.

Lovely dark purple.

I just loved the color of these and the darker pink border on the flowers.

Here are some random pics of my nastursiums. I grow them every year and try to find lots of different colored varieties.

Gene and I went out for a ride to the local Audobon sanctuary for a plant sale and saw this lovely site at the North River in Marshfield. Very neat to see two different types of Egrets together and so many too! I am hoping the stoopid rain will go away this weekend because I want and need to satisfy my photo urges.

Finally a sunny day so I could take some nice shots of the tulips and just in time because all the wind we got the next day blew most of the petals off them.

Even though I was tired after working and then grocery shopping today I still planted my seeds in my own little garden tonite. It's not a very big garden but it is all mine and I love it! I planted tons of nasturtiums, morning glories and moon flowers! I have some more seeds to plant but they can wait until the weekend. I soooo love to dig in the dirt!
Gene and I went to the Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary for a walk and to enjoy the lovely weather that has finally arrived. Lots of bird life around. We saw barn swallows and purple martins and canada geese.... lots and lots of canada geese! oh and turtles too!!

Beautiful yellow flowers!

all those brown blobs are geese! there were soooo many! Click on the photo to see the big size.

I took this photo this morning from inside the cafeteria at work. It's nice to see the wildlife around us.
