The weather was just fantastic this weekend. Such a nice break from all the snow and ice we have had this winter. We actually sat out in the lawn chairs in the sun for a bit on Saturday. Since I have been helping my sister move the last few Saturday's, Gene kidnapped me today and we went out for a nice ride and to do some photography. I haven't had much play time with the new camera so it was a great treat today. I got some great shots at the grist mill pond.

Canada Goose

Wood Duck

Then we went out to Middleboro so I could practice with shutter speeds and iso levels by taking photos of moving water.

Slow Shutter Speed

Fast Shutter Speed

I was surprised how much of my SLR skills I have lost using point and shoot digital for the last few years... I am going to have to practice more and do some reading.

Can I ask, where did you take that photo in Middleboro? It looks like a gorgeous area!!!
My Uncle lives there, but I've never seen anything that looks like THAT in that area! I thought you might have taken it near where the fish spawn in Weymouth ;)

The photos of the little water fall were taking on Wareham St across from the Middlebor Water Dept. There is a small park and fish ladder there.
